Never Magnify Your Problems
Never Magnify Your Problems; Instead, Make Them Common
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory. 2 Cor. 4:17 (NKJV)
It is true that life is a compendium of challenges. However, there is one mistake you must never make in handling them, never ever magnify or exaggerate your challenges. It doesn’t matter how seemingly insurmountable it may look to you, you must never exaggerate it. Many a believer do this and this is the reason for their fears, anxieties and frustrations. The truth is, you can’t magnify God and still magnify Satan at the same time. God can’t be big in your heart and your problem is also big in your mind. If the Almightiness of God has been revealed to you then no challenge however severe will mean much to you.
Consider the words of Apostle Paul in our anchor text today. He was faced with an affliction but he didn’t attach any special importance to it, rather, he described it as ‘light’. That is the attitude of faith that conquers the world. You will know how much a believer dreads the issues facing them by their words. Apostle Paul did not only describe the challenge as light, he also said it was working out for him an exceeding weight of Glory. This is the secret to lasting victory. When David faced Goliath, he commonized him and made him look like a dog (1 Sam 17:43).
Likewise, when King Nebuchadnezzar was trying to force everyone into idolatry, the three Hebrew brothers commonized him by stripping him of all his royalties (Dan 3:16). These heroes of faith magnified God and commonized their enemies and God glorified Himself. Don’t let that challenge overwhelm you. Even if you were told it’s grade 4 cancer, it is nothing for our God to fix. If He can raise the dead then which sickness will be difficult for Him to heal. Even if it was your mistake that landed you in trouble, mercy is still available for you. Let faith rise up in your heart, look that challenge in the face and commonize it and magnify God over it and God will surely reveal His Almightiness on your behalf.
PRAYER
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You because You are greater and bigger than every mountain starring me in the face. I am not moved by what I see, I am moved by Your Word, and in the Name of Jesus I command every mountain before me subdued now. Amen!
KEEP IN MIND
God can’t be big in your heart and your problem is also big in your mind.
